Contents Page - Conventions Analysis

In this genre of magazine, the contents pages all have more than one picture on and they are either on a slant or have a larger picture then the rest which could mean that person might have been on the front cover of the magazine. They all seem to have instruments or singing which refers back to their tours or performances. The colours are all very basic and plain so it attracts both genders but also it is the colours that most of the bands are seen wearing. One of them have a small story on the front about one band, but none of the others do. This could show that the magazine didn’t follow the conventions or there is something important the readers need to know. They all have the basic page numbers of things that are mostly going to interesting and they also have short titles near the pictures which are around the contents page to show they have stories on this band and what it is about. They all have a white background, no picture used so I think it sticks to the colour theme of the whole magazine.

The pictures in this take up half of the page so it draws your attention to it straight away. Also they have a section on the magazines where things are featured such as quiz's or competitions. None of the pictures are in black and white, they are all in colour and they all seem to have the same colour contrast as the whole page.
